McKeesport's Postcard History

Saturday, October 15th at 2 pm

Michelle Wardle and John Barna will present a program on McKeesport's postcard history in conjunction with the release of their new book: McKeesport (Postcard History Series). They will begin with a brief history of the postcard, then look at some of their favorite McKeesport postcards and share some stories behind the making of the book. Immediately following the program, Michelle and John will be available to sign copies of the book, which is available for purchase now at the Heritage Center. Copies will also be available for purchase at the program.

Festival of Trees

The Heritage Center will be open from 12-8 each day during Festival of Trees, in addition to our regular hours, and will be decorated for the holidays. Our decorated trees feature a 9 foot Victorian tree, a tree in honor of teachers, and winter forest, among others. We will have a gift basket raffle, popcorn and hot chocolate, a free children's raffle, a craft for the kids and gift table.

We are also having a second book signing on Saturday, December 3rd, from 4-7 pm. Copies of our new book, McKeesport (Postcard History Series) will be available for purchase and the authors will be available to sign copies. These books make great holiday gifts for anyone interested in McKeesport.
