 Founders Day program

 October 12    at 2 pm

Jason Togyer, a life-long resident of the McKeesport area, will present this year’s Founders Day Program on the G.C. Murphy Company. His first book, For the Love of Murphy's: The Behind-The-Counter Story of a Great American Retailer, is being published by Penn State University Press this fall.

Jason's presentation will focus on the G.C. Murphy Co.'s connections to McKeesport; the impact of the company's growth on culture and business in the Mon Valley; the aftermath of the closure of Murphy's Home Office and distribution center in McKeesport; and the legacy of institutions supported by the G.C. Murphy Company Foundation and the heirs of the company's founders.
